Developed by Freestyle Games, Nintendo today announced a new karaoke game called SiNG. It displays lyrics on the Wii U screen, and apparently uses an extra microphone that isn't being discussed at this point. If the promotional video is to be believed, it's being billed as a party game. SiNG is currently a working title.

As much as I don't like karaoke much, it actually did seem pretty fun, especially if you're holding a mini-party with some friends or something. The dancing feature was also a good bonus, in my opinion.

I guess the lowercase "i" stands for interactive or something. I mean, no one questions why the iPod and iPhone are labeled starting with a lowercase "i" right?

As for the title itself, I can see it being successful for parties against your friend since I myself have several friends who like to sing.
 
I wouldn't have an interest in playing this game. I'm not a karaoke fan, but I guess there's a market for these types of games. It seems like Nintendo is aiming for a party market. I rarely see a game that I can take seriously.
 
I was a Karaoke fan a few years ago and bought a title or two. Unfortunately, the magic worn off rather quick, especially since i didn't have anyone to enjoy the game with. If only i could have my own lame party, haha.
