Slow paced anime with great story

I usually don't like slow paced anime

But with great story, I am not sure how to drop that anime. I have observed this in Hitman reborn and Sangatsu no lion.

What about you guys?

It does get better in second season.
But the thing is..... the first season got 22 episodes and that's extremely slow...to endure.

Uh....but it gets better after that
My sister is even reading manga for that series, because it's got some aura to it.
