So, am I the only one who doesn't really buy Virtual Console games for the 3DS?

I'm not sure why, but I think it's because most of the games I would buy I still own the Game Boy versions of (Mario games, Wario Land, heck, even most ambassador games) and I never really saw the point of rebuying a game which I can still play on older hardware.

That and I'm just a tad wary of buying things online in general, or using my credit card number.

Is anyone else the same here?

I don't have a credit card, and my dad refuses to link his account to Nintendo. So yeah I never buy games from eShop.

The only thing I've purchased on my 3DS is Link's Awakening. I did download all the Ambassador titles, but just because they were free. I am actually a bit more willing to buy PS3 games/content online (despite their hacking record) simply because I like HD remakes and can also download them onto my girlfriend's PS3 for free after that due to their multiple download system.

I buy prepaid eshop cards at retail using real physical cash.

I've downloaded the ambassador virtual console titles, but I don't think I've actually bought any yet. There's a few I intend to buy, but so far I've favoured 3d classics, made-for-3ds content like Mighty Switch Force and a few relatively cheap dsiware titles.

I got the ambassador games because I wanted most of them, but half of 'em I had.

I buy Virtual Console stuff every time something good catches my eye.

I bought Super Mario Land and Link's Awakening at their initial eShop release. Otherwise I haven't really been too interested at any other VC release. I guess it's because I find myself more preoccupied with newer releases both cartridge and 3DSware. Otherwise if I like the VC game I'll probably end up buying it.

I can see it now "Nintendo eshop....300 dollar charge" lol

I just can't be bothered to buy any of these games myself. I know the cards are available, but... they're all mostly "meh" to me.

I'm not surprised, Nin. You're the world's most paranoid person.

You're so freaking paranoid you don't even reveal your own age.

Let's say I was to find out that you're 23 years old or something. What's going to happen?

"OMG! Some random person on this planet is 23 years old. Now we can steal all his money"?

I haven't gotten anything that cost anything from the 3DS/DSi/Wii shop for a very long time, and the only virtual console games I have for the 3DS are the games I got for being an ambassador. There are a few that I might be interested in, but not enough to actually buy them.

I'm more interested in virtual console games for the Wii, since I didn't have the systems that its games come from. I bought Donkey Kong Country 2 and Paper Mario from there.

I only got the ambassador games. I don't buy the other games because I don't want to get sucked into the credit card debt trap... That, and I can't for the life of me find any code cards.

@Nin3DS: yeah, i'm wit ya on that.

I haven't bought any virtual console games although there is one or two that I would like.

I did pick up several DSiware and 3DSware games. I'm glad for the prepaid cards because I don't like using credit cards over the net for nonessential purchases.

Yeah, why don't you guys get a debit card? works just like credit but you can only use the money you put in the card. That way there is no overbuying. It's what I use.

What happens if you get into some monthly thingy, where you have to pay like 2 dollars the month?
