So how come Mario Kart 7 hasn't lasted as long as DS and Wii?

Because you have to admit the latter two games held people's attention much longer, is there a reason for this?

Probably the seemingly increased difficulty, the online mode isn't too fun, and it's really lacking in extra content.

i play less because it got kinda boring, i still didnt get all kart pieces (only at 3300+ coins) but the game lacks modes and that makes it less fun imo. i didnt finish MKwii either, i still don't have Bowser Jr. and Dry Bowser there, but i played like months with that game, with DS i finished it all, still played it a year ago, i think i did the DS version like a few years. But this one, its just nobody IRL really had a 3DS i know, and you unlock characters way to easy, or to less characters to unlock, the wii made that fun. And i miss the Battle mode with Bosses from the MKDS and Monthly competition from MKwii.

You guys are waaay, waaay too easily swayed. Stop believing whatever Nin says.

Anyways, in the whole of the public ire, maybe so, but within the gaming community, there are hundreds of thousands of loyal players, who play it every day (Like me) so I don't think MK7 is really "out" at all.

MK7 isn't out? What are you talking about? IT came out in December!
Also, don't believe what Nin says, you say?

Nin is short for Ninja Tuna!

WOT CHOO TARKIN BAAAAAAAHT FOOOOOOOOOOOO!?

Not a lone opinion. For example, the Official Nintendo Magazine community went from about 2000 players to... 15. That's a pretty drastic drop in activity, right?

Other communities I see at literally ZERO members.

And online seems to be finding it hard to get me races with seven opponents in...

Well, you can only join so many communities to start. One community =/= actual MK7 activity comparison. And the higher VR you have, the less players you have to race against.

To me, MKDS started out okay, but then it got a huge spike in activity and kept burning. So much that retailers here are still charging full price for the game, 5 years after it's release.

This one on the other hand started out bigger, but is just flat lining I guess. I dunno, I haven't seen any figures. But it's amusing for me whenever I'm bored.

A bit same with Super Mario 64 DS. Still selling at full price at many shops here, but that game is a different genre. Also, I still pick up Mario Kart 7 once or twice in a while..
