so that rape joke at the E3 event

I do  think it depends on context and setting when you are using the wor "rape". Among two friends playing a game, they may use the word "rape" to meam that they are dominating their opponent, I do however think that using the word "rape" at a video game convention is definitly unprofessional and inapproriet. And I only say it's inappropiate because the person making the comments is a employee of Microsoft or Sony or whoever.

What I find even more troubling is what caused this in the first place, that woman getting her butt handed to her which makes me wonder how badly balanced the game is unless she was meant to act helpless which leads to this dialog.

You find that troubling? My god, this whole incident is so stupid and it is the public that have caused a mountain to be created out of a molehill. Everyone needs to stop being so sensitive and lame.

I think we have drug this thread out too long. All we are going to get now is people saying they think it's stupid or they think it's not. I think we should close this thread now DS, you think?

I dont know if that counts as a joke, it sounded like one of those "did I just say that out loud?" moments. Her comments didnt help much either

The thread only existed in the first place to add fuel to the hatred fire against Microsoft.
When ever was this directed at Microsoft? Point of the topic is how did a joke like this be said during a public event.

But the discussion has reached it's conclusion. Game companies simply need to script their conferences better.
