So, what happened to Mario in New Super Luigi U?

Because he isn't just absent, look carefully in the game's intro:

As you can see, there's a Mario cap on the table. Given that he's gone prior to Peach's kidnapping by Bowser, perhaps that indicates something else has happened to him? Maybe King Boo shows up in this game as a secret boss or something?

Perhaps it's explained in the 3D Mario game for the system?

Ok I think this may be the best answer I can come up with....

Mario HAD to get a haircut, but knowing what a superstar he was he couldn't risk putting his hat on a rack in the barber shop unwatched (some crazy fan would steal it). Therefore he entrusted Luigi to watch over his hat while he went off to get his ears lowered.

By the time Mario got back it was far too late for him to catch up to Luigi and join him on his epic adventure....



Simply:

Diarrhea

Mario is not available at this moment...



But why would Mario leave his hat behind for that?!

Mario died... his hair and it looked pretty bad so Mario didn't want Peach to see him. However, he left his hat in the castle.

By the way... I'm disapointed since he's saving Peach. Still no Luigi/Daisy thing going on here.

Also I know it's dyed. I did it for comic value.

Nintendo is too lazy to create/design a daisy model. LAZY!!! :banghead:
