So.... why is the Vita so crap (in terms of sales)?

As far as the Vita and 3DS are concerned, they have two main innovations from their first counterparts.

Number 1: better graphics

I think I speak for everyone when I say that the resolution of the games on the psp and Nintendo DS were pixelated and unappealing.

Number 2: battery

The battery I got out of the Ps Vita a friend let me borrow, got about 3 hours. My 3DS, all depending on what setting of 3D I use, gets about 3-5 hours. I don't charge it very often.

Of course any console had its flaws: Price

When the 3DS first came out it was 249.99 as previously stated, BUT it also came with a 2GB SD Card for saving Data and all of your music and pictures. The Ps Vita on the other hand is the same price, but YOU have to buy the memory card for it!

I dunno about that, my brother had a PSP, and any time I gave it a look, I was extremely impressed with the how clear the screen was and how crisp and vibrant everything looked. To this day there are PSP games which even the 3DS struggles to match for graphics.

If Vita is failing, it isn't because it's a bad machine. It does offer more bang for buck in terms of technological superiority. It's already underpriced to sell at a loss(although they do try to claw back some of that loss in overpriced memory cards and other ways). If it's failing, it's because the market they're trying to appeal to just isn't big enough to support them, and the balance of what they have to offer and the price they're selling it just doesn't appeal to a wider market beyond their core audience.

What saved the 3DS's skin wasn't necesarily the price drop, it only really started to move when a few specific game releases made an appearance. Unfortunately for Sony, they don''t have a Mario.

Yeah. If they had Mario it would definitely save them. Or if they gave a rats foot about porting some more advanced games for ps3 down to Ps Vita format. Anyways just stating my honest opinion. Maybe if the Ps Vita gets some good game releases that are appealing to the gamers, then maybe it just might save face.

P.s. I have a hacked psp and play with it more than my 3DS at this point. I personally love the graphics on it. I was just on a ranting tangent. Just something I do.

I actually used to play my Vita alot, because hey,it was new and fancy and stuff.

Then came along Kid Icarus, and I actually got back into my 3DS. Infact,my Vita has been collecting dust.Only my brother plays it.

Nintendo can make some good games. That's what Sony needs.

I serously think if Sony and Nintendo joined together Microsoft would get their asses handed to them on a silver platter.

That's okay. I don't think anything too fanboyish was said.

Unfortunately for the Vita, the timing isn't great. The PSP launched in more favorable conditions, but even if the global economic picture might be getting better, Sony are in a bad position. They can't really afford to give the Vita the support it needs during this crucial time... but at the same time maybe they can't afford not to.

They probably have a year or so to turn it around. If they can just hang in there long enough, it might pay off. They were able to work that strategy with the PS3, but they probably don't have that kinda money to throw around anymore.

It'd be an interesting marriage, that's for sure.
