Do you think Nintendo will have a good amount of DLC for its games for the Wii U?

Like DLC for Mario Kart, maybe SSB? Games that have a lot of Muiltiplayer focus.

Do you think Nintendo will do it?

Knowing Nintendo most likely not, but it would be pretty awesome if they were to have DLC for the new SSB game.

I doubt they'll use much, if any. Nintendo may have granted permission to other companies to have DLC on their consoles now, but Nintendo themselves still don't like it.
Certainly, if they do release DLC, I doubt they'll go for the already-on-the-disc kind, where all you are downloading is an unlock code. They would do things properly, and actually release new content.

....PFFFT! *begins laughing uncontrollably* haaaaa.... Anyways, TP me Nintendo finally broke in the DLC's with the 3DS (unless I'm wrong of course. •_•) so there MIGHT be a chance. But if it's gonna be anything like the Wii, then it's gonna be just straight [acronym=Downloadable games]DLG's. [/acronym]
But it would be good if they broke the barrier.

I'm obsessed with mario,so i'd probaby buy any mario DLC. ESPECIALLY characters!

Nope, I just don't see Nintendo putting it to good use.

I kind of doubt it, especially after how poorly made the 'new' wifi only Mario Kart Wii content was (remember competitions? They failed). Smash Bros is a bit more likely, but it's still work that could be done on a brand new game in the same time, and I think Nintendo wouldn't really want to prioritise downloadable content.

I'm going to guess not, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean if they pack the game with content in the first place then there is no need for DLC.

I'm not saying DLC is a bad thing, but, in the case of Call of Duty, I have to spend just as much to purchase all the map packs as I did to buy the game in the first place.

I hope not. DLC is very rarely done right, even more so with "day one DLC" becoming more common. (I'm looking at you Capcom)

If Nintendo can pull it off right or keep it free like in Animal Crossing: City Folk then I'm all for it, I'm pretty sure the DLC support is mostly for third party devs though.
