Some real New Super Mario Bros Wii vs U Comparisons

IGN may have released a video, but supposedly their pictures of the Wii game were rather blurry and didn't represent the game right. So here's some clear comparisons showing the differences between the Wii and Wii U titles.

As you can see, New Super Mario Bros U looks much, much better than New Super Mario Bros Wii in pretty much every regard. The backgrounds are nicer, the tilesets are ten times more detailed with better textures, and all and all, the Wii U game definitely looks like a next gen title compared to the older Wii game.

Does this make you think New Super Mario Bros U is even more impressive?

It sure does. Now that I started working I can finally get me the Black Wii U Deluxe version and NSMBU

I like that in NSMBU the lighting plays off of the character models. It makes the game that much more beautiful.

I think the graphical improvements are subtle but certainly easier to see here compared to IGN's video. Either way, I don't care as much about the graphics in a Mario title as much as I want gameplay innovations/improvements.

At first I was wondering why Mario was capless in some of these screenshots. But then I realized it's like SM3DL...that sure was spoiled quickly. The quality of the graphics looks great!
