Sony Just Unveiled 1TB PS4 Called Ultimate Player Edition

It was only gonna be a matter of time I suppose.

I wonder how long it will be before Microsoft roll out a 1TB Xbone?

About time. Games nowadays are just too damn huge for anything less than 1TB. I know which PS4 I will be buying whenever I get around to buying one!

Still want to know why they didn't announce it last week. But still, 1 TB is still low.

1TB should definitely be a minimum. Games now require to be downloaded on your system, despite having the actual disk or not. It's sort of defeats the purpose of owning a physical copy to me. But the storage space is mandatory in order to actually play more than a few games on a system. Not to mention, being able to download the free games or purchases during the month would be much better since we wouldn't have to delete other games in order to actually download anything.

Just a thought but what happened to the infinite cloud storage that Sony was supposed to be unveiling for the PlayStation4? Surely with this in place and all your games saved to the cloud, then the actual internal memory won't be an issue would it?

While it's great that the finally unveiled the 1TB edition, this should have been included with the launch PS4s. Even 1TB can be filled up quite quickly nowadays, it won't be long before Sony will have to announce another edition. While the PS4 was reasonably priced on launch, they should have gone with a larger hard drive. Many folks are complaining that they don't have enough space and feel shortchanged.

I believe the proper reaction clip is right here:

Joking aside, yeah. 1 TB should definitely be a minimum these days. It just doesn't make sense to for it not to be, with all needed downloads and installations.
