Also untrue. Kingdom Hearts has sold 13+ million in games. Toys, cards, etc. have gathered a revenue of over quite a few million. :P Stop trying to say that .hack is better than everything... Hahaha.

games besides, .hack has toys, cards, action figures, anime, manga, novels, movies, ect.
 
I don't think they're actively working on developing it... But I do think it's a lie that they haven't thought about it at all. Because if nothing else, Sony does look towards the future and they do try to plan for it. (Which was a large part of their reasoning for some of the decisions they made in regards to the PS3.) So I imagine they have a plan ready to start working on the PS4 (which I would imagine to be next year or 2013). I can see the PS3 lasting another 5-7 years at least, so long as they keep putting out great games (which include new exclusive game series and installments in favourites.)

I can't see Microsoft rushing out a new console any time soon... (Possibly in 2013-2014) They just got some issues with the 360 fixed. And they just released Kinect, so if nothing else, they'd probably want to use that to extend the life cycle of the 360 a bit. (Plus, didn't they announce they were committed to a 10 year life cycle on the 360 too?)

Nintendo is the only one I expect to see release a new console soon. (Nintendo seems to like a 5-6 year life cycle on their consoles.) So at E3 this year, I expect to see Nintendo unveil a new console.
 
I don't think until at least 2012. People wouldn't be happy about it, since the 3DS would have just came out by then.
 
Even though the 3DS comes out soon, I don't think that'll really affect the release of a console because the console is likely only going to be revealed soon and not go on sale until late next year. (So probably 6 months to a year before the next console comes out... Plenty of time for people to build up the money for it. However much it costs...)
