Spaceman Spiff's Pokemon Platinum Nuzlocke run!!

DJ Otter just smashed Aaron, Bertha, and Flint.

Aaron uses the bug type, so Ice Beam took its toll on his team.
Bertha uses the ground type so a mix of Surf and Ice Beam took her out.
Flint uses the fire type, and a lot of his Pokemon have really weak defenses which allowed Waterfall to one-hit KO almost all of his Pokemon. DJ Otter actually got burned taking out Flint's Magmortar, so his attack was reduced and he only took away about 70% of Flint's last pokemon's, Flareon, HP. Luckily Flareon flinched after getting hit and DJ Otter finished it off with another Waterfall.
 
cynthia will send out a pokemon thats super effective against yours. (eg: you kill garchomp with DJ Otter, roserade will be set out.)
 
Alright, Lucian went down pretty easily thanks to DJ Otter's Crunch. Time to face Cynthia. I'm gonna lead off with Zeus t-bolting Spiritomb and then we'll go from there.

So I used T-bolt on Spiritomb and it used Dark Pulse on me, taking me to about 65% health. Her Spiritomb was down to about 30% health and I readied up another T-bolt, but she switched out to Garchomp, so my attack was useless. I had Zeus try to pull off an Ice Punch, but Garchomp used Dragon Rush.... and it missed!! Ice Punch was a critical hit (crying tears of joy) and Cynthia's Garchomp got sent to the graveyard. Best. Luck. Ever.
 
She sent out Lucario and I sent Sookie out. Sookie used Flamethrower which burned Lucario, who in turn used Stone Edge, which luckily did not do much damage due to him being burned. DJ Otter just took out her Togekiss with one Ice Beam, and now Aurora is fighting her Roserade.
 
Aurora took care of Roserade easily with a Psychic, and then put down her Spiritomb as well with a Thunderbolt. Cynthia was down to her last Pokemon, Milotic. I had planned on using either DJ Otter's Crunch to finisher her off or Aurora's Calm Mind + Thunderbolt. Instead, I decided to let Luke have his time in the spotlight. I started off with a Confuse Ray, and then spammed Sand-Attacks until Milotic couldn't even hurt her self because her accuracy was so low. Once I had reduced her accuracy to nothing, I started laying on the damage with Toxic + Bite with a few Confuse Rays sprinkled in for when Milotic came back to her senses. After a couple embarrassing full restores, Cythnia conceded defeat and I finished off her Milotic with one last Bite. I am now the Pokemon League Champion.

Well that challenge was a lot of fun, and very time consuming. I can't wait for the RSE remakes so I can start another Nuzlocke on them. Thanks for reading everybody, I hope you found it entertaining.

Your run has inspired me to possibly do my own sometime... memories will be made!
 
I can't help but wonder what you would've done if garchomp went on a killing spree.

I have undertaken my own Nuzlocke run, on Emerald. To make sure Spiff's thunder wasn't stolen, I've been updating it in my blog, which apparently is a less common place for people to go. If you want to see the adventures of another person trying this out, check it out. As soon as I'm done typing this, I'm putting up a new entry hehe.

Congrats Spiff! Well done indeed! You've inspired me to do what I'm doing hehe.
 
Darn, now i want to do one of these too. but spiff already did sinnoh and now regal is doing hoenn. witch leaves me stck with johto or kanto to choose from, seeing as my black version is where my entire pokemon ary is being stored. hoenn is my favourite region as well. sigh.
at lest regal looks like he's nearing the end so that's good.
 
Heh, Hoenn is what I started my Pokemon career with...Sapphire, to be precise. Anyway, once I finish grinding everyone up to 40 I don't think I'll have too many problems for a while...I already have type advantages for the last 3 gyms...just needed the levels for it heh.

annd if you're going to grind, maybe do some sidequests (trick master house?)

I might do a run through of Pokemon Blue. It should be quite fun, and I'll probably do it in a blog format too. I'll let you know when I start, but for now, I'll read yours, Regal. And yours as well if you start one too, Gagagoogle.
 
I might do one of these myself. But I'll wait until Regal's finished with Emerald then with whoever's doing Kanto and Johto and I'll give it a go with Unova (if/if not a third version comes out)

Definitely up to Red.
