Splatoon Tower Control

Nintendo has announced that a new mode named Tower Control will be added to Splatoon at 7pm PT on July 1.

This new mode will be added to Ranked Battle alongside Splat Zones. According to the press release, the "objective of Tower Control is to ride a single floating tower into the enemy’s base."

The tower starts in the middle of the map, and starts moving when someone is aboard. However riding the tower makes you a big target for everyone on the opposing team. Tower Control is the second new mode which has been added to Splatoon, which has now been purchased over a million times worldwide.

So soon? The game was just released a couple of months ago. Nintendo usually takes longer to release new modes, as far as I've seen... Mind you, this game turned out to be a success. I see people everywhere talking about it.
