Spoilers about new Mario Tennis Open characters?

So, you see, You can unlock outfits resembling the playable characters in the game for your Mii to use. There's a Mario outfit, a Peach one, etc.
But then:

Yeah. Outfits based on both Bullet Bill and Chain Chomp.
So, the question is obvious: Do you think they will be playable characters? Or is this just like in M&S in the Winter Games, where there were outfits of characters that didn't even make an appearence in the game?
I can sort of see Bullet Bill playing tennis... but Chain Chomp?

I'm hoping it's a bit of a M&S, where it's just for the sake of being cool. But I'm with you on that, I'm open arms to Bullet Bill, but Chain Chomp just seems ridiculous.

And there better be a Shy Guy in there with a Shy Guy outfit or else I'm chucking a fit.

12 characters? (I'm excluding Miis) So each character's respective doubles partner would be...

Mario and Luigi
Peach and Daisy
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong
Wario and Waluigi
Bowser and Bowser Jr.

and that leaves:

Yoshi and Boo? - Either Koopa or Birdo would possibly fill the spot for this guy.
Boo and ? - No other character than one with the name of Shy Guy fills for this guy by default. *Crosses Fingers*

There better be possible chances that more are still to come. *Hopes so.*

Chain Chomp? Hm... Doesn't need a tennis racket. He's perfect without one on the field. Bullet Bill, I wouldn't mind as well. But I'd better see Hammer Bro. in there or I'm gonna toss my lucky hammer at someone.

Well, Shy Guy hasn't been confirmed. But I highly doubt Nintendo would exclude him and Koopa Troopa from the game.
Still, no Waluigi in MK7, so who knows...

i just hope they add Koopa, Rosalina, Birdo, Petey Pirhanha, Shy guy, Wiggler, toad and Toadette playable. and Maybe Bullet Bill, would be funny.
but there is a small chance though.

This is true, Boo and Shy Guy have always been the standard partners in this game from what I can tell. At least in Mario Power Tennis, that was their combo.

Shy Guy is a staple to the series anyway, excluding him would be like... having a Mario Party with no Mario.
