SSB4 3DS exclusive feature: Smash Run

To start this thread off, I believe Smash 4 is looking better and better everyday on the 3DS.

Smash Run is a 3DS exclusive feature in the game. In this game mode, 4 players transverse through a dungeon-like environment for 5 minutes, battling enemies from the Subspace Emissary, and other video game series, whilst collecting power-ups, breaking targets, and other methods. When the 5 minute time limit expires, the player can then use the power-ups collected for an advantage in a winner-takes-all battle.

What do you think about this 3DS exclusive feature? I personally think it looks awesome!

It looks awesome. I know Sakurai said he got inspiration for it from one of his Kirby games, but IMO the power up systems seems like Bomberman. I'm guessing it'll take some strategy since some of these power-ups don't look like they'll be detrimental if you get too much, namely the jump power-up.

What is the "Arms" power-up? Is that for grip or the reach of your attack?

Arms makes projectiles do more damage.
 
Hey that's pretty cool. It's just like City Run in Kirby Air Ride... in fact it is city run... well that's okay because that's freaking awesome. I hope the Wii U will have something similar. I know it says exclusive, I just mean similar. I'm actually very excited for this mode and it may be where I spend all my time... as long as it's not just 4 players or else I'm never going to get to play this mode.

I'm sure under four players can do it, I think it's up to four players max. I'm also hoping that this feature can be used with 3DS download play so my brothers and friends and duke it out, heh. :D
 
I think it's a cool idea, but I wonder if it will be just local multiplayer or if you will be able to play with friends online?

I believe it's going to be both, I think online is confirmed, but i'm not sure about local (don't quote me on this though)
