Twenty-one year-old Christopher Moore swung by his local Game Stop in Norfolk, Virginia. He paid cash for an Xbox 360. The store manager, however, thought something was odd about the hundred dollar bills. They looked funny.

According to The Virginian-Pilot, the manager turned the bills over to the police, who then gave them to the Secret Service. The bills, said the Secret Service, were fake.

The following day, Moore returned to the Game Stop, attempting to return his Xbox 360. The manager phoned the cops, and the police arrested him. More fake hundred dollar bills were confiscated.

Moore, a student at Virginia Wesleyan College, goes before the district court later next month.

This wasn't about him trying to play the 360. He paid for it with counterfeit bills and then he went to return the 360 to receive real cash back. He was an idiot, as if he wanted to do something like this then he should have dealt with something that is already sketchy (drugs etc...but we won't get into that).
 
The crazy part about this was that he went back to the same store the next day. Who does that? It's not that serious and I don't think he should get a harsh punishment for it either. Hopefully, he'll learn his lesson and stop making fake money.
 
What a fool. I'm glad he got caught. What's with people alway's looking for an easy way without having to put in hard work. This dummy tried to get real money using an xbox. I'm sure that he has got away with this multiple times in other stores. Hopefully he gets kicked out of school and does time.

Only reason he didn't get caught was because the Game Stop person thought it looked odd.
 
Idiot. Why would he pay with fake money only to return it the next day after the authorities have identified the fake money. Someone's rather desperate for games.
 
I think that was the plan. Buy with fake bills then return the item for real bills. Unfortunately, he is dumb enough to use a store that is thorough in checking bills and dumb enough to come back to the same store.
 
A normal thief would change the money in the first store he sees and hopes that they don`t catch him .. but this one was an idiot to pay for an xbox ..
 
Moron. You are not supposed to use $100 bills when purchasing things. You use $20's for this reason exactly. Idiots should always get caught.
 
wow, well there is one federal offence on his record. I can't believe people are still trying to recreate money. Unless people have an amazing print and the right ink and right paper it will always look fake. Especially you try and recreate high currency, that's usually the money they check.
