The reveal of Super Bomberman R 2, which will be released next year, follow’s Konami’s announcement earlier this month that its free-to-play title Super Bomberman R Online will end on December 1.
At the time, Konami also assured players that the Bomberman series would continue despite the closure of the free-to-play game, promising something new would be revealed soon. That now appears to have been referring to Super Bomberman R 2.
“The Bomberman series is moving forward with new projects,” it said at the time. “We hope to be able to inform you of this project soon. Thank you for your continued support of the Bomberman series.”
