Hi guys, do you ever played to the game called Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii? What's your thoughts about it? I guess it is one of the most enjoyable game of the Wii ever created by the Nintendo as it requires a quite huge amount of skills in order to play it quite good and also the scenarios are quite enjoyable if you play them with friends.

I think the game was a step backwards from Melee to be honest.  While it did add some neat elements that are great for casual play (like the final smashes, quirky items, etc.), the devs purposefully removing elements that contribute to competitive play and adding things that actively hindered it (tripping anyone?), was unnecessary.  Plus, the game feels so slow compared to it's predecessor.

I think the fan patch, Project M, makes all of these problems go away, however, and I really think it's a great game with those changes.  The new Super Smash Bros. definitely has a much better feel out of the box to me, striking that balance between competitive and casual play for the most part.

I personally prefered melee.  I think Smash 4 is super fun though!  Brawl was kinda sub par in terms of actual gameplay.  The character rooster was amazing though, which was my main reason for playing it.

I liked the new added characters in Brawl. Though I have to agree that Melee was a good smash game too. In Melee, one of my favorite things to do was to break the targets.

Agree with others in that Brawl felt a little weaker compared to the other games in the franchise. The game play changes the made just weren't necessary. People play Super Smash for a certain style of play and mixing it up only alienates that targeted audience. Add new characters, maps, items, etc, but don't change the game play that made fans fall in love with franchise.

The newest Super Smash redeemed the slight mistakes of Brawl. Felt like the old game that everybody liked.
