I thought about it, there are only 2 Mario characters
Mario and Bowser
Luigi is from Luigi's mansion
and Peach is from Super princess Peach
They already used Wario from WarioWare or Wario Land, and Yoshi from Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong from the Donkey Kong series
So they can add more mario characters <3
Daisy and Waluigi from Mario
King K. Rool and Dixie kong from Donkey kong
Baby Mario and Baby Luigi from Yoshi
Toad from Super Princess Peach

They're all still from the Mario universe so they count as Mario characters.
I kind of want one of those systems from Soul Calibur. Like where you buy something for a character and that's what they use/wear. For example Link can have the master sword or if you buy it a wood sword and it does the same damage, you just make them look how you want. Plus buyable costumes. I mean of they're using a coin system in SSBB, they should use it for something cool like that.
I know it won't but it would be cool.

Well, Luigi's Mansion is actually a Mario game. Mario is in it, he's just not the main character. The only two sort of Mario characters are Yoshi and Wario. The Mario characters in Brawl are Mario, Bowser, Luigi and Peach.

Edit: I WOULD want Hammer Bro. in there but Smash should only accept Main certain characters from respective series of other games. It would be kinda weird to see an Octorok or ReDead playable. Or a random soldier (that doesn't have a portrait) from Fire Emblem. Pokemon is a bit of a different story. I don't really know what to say about that.

Well, PIkachu was good known, and Lucario was so to. Pokemon Trainer is kinda Ash, and Jigglypuff is pretty well known to.

What the hell is this? You ARE aware that games have existed before 2000, right?
Luigi originated in Mario Bros, and was also present in Super Mario Bros 2 (the USA version) and many other Mario games some 18 years before Luigi's Mansion.
Peach was in Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2 (both versions), Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64.... do I need to go on? This was 20 years before Super Princess Peach.
Yoshi was in Super Mario World originally.
Just because Luigi has had his own game, does it suddenly make him not a "Mario character"? If Toad had his own game, would he suddenly not be a "Mario character"? No. They all started off as Mario characters. They either originated in a "Mario game", or, often, in a spinoff of a Mario game (e.g. any 'Kongs').

Do you mean why they had R.O.B. as a playable character? I think it's because R.O.B. has been around for years so it's his time to shine again. I mean did you question him in Mario Kart?

He was originally an accessory for the NES. ROB stands for "robotic operating buddy." He was capable of playing like two games. However he wasn't really the best because it didn't age well and it also sucks at playing the game.

They are ALL Mario characters. As I said, just because they have their own game, it does NOT mean they come from that game.
Luigi does NOT come from Luigi's Mansion! He's IN it, but he's not FROM it. He's FROM Mario Bros.
