Super Smash Bros for the 3DS and Wii U has started.

I thought about it, there are only 2 Mario characters since others got their own game
Mario and Bowser
Luigi is from Luigi's mansion
and Peach is from Super princess Peach

They already used Wario from WarioWare or Wario Land, and Yoshi from Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong from the Donkey Kong series

So they can add more mario characters <3
Daisy and Waluigi from Mario
King K. Rool and Dixie kong from Donkey kong
Baby Mario and Baby Luigi from Yoshi
Toad from Super Princess Peach

Luigi originated in Mario Bros, and was also present in Super Mario Bros 2 (the USA version) and many other Mario games some 18 years before Luigi's Mansion.
Peach was in Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2 (both versions), Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64.... do I need to go on? This was 20 years before Super Princess Peach.
Yoshi was in Super Mario World originally.

Just because Luigi has had his own game, does it suddenly make him not a "Mario character"? If Toad had his own game, would he suddenly not be a "Mario character"? No. They all started off as Mario characters. They either originated in a "Mario game", or, often, in a spinoff of a Mario game (e.g. any 'Kongs').

But they're NOT from them! According to you, games never existed before 2001.

JUST because Luigi and Peach HAVE had their own games, it does NOT mean they aren't Mario characters. They're still Mario characters. There's not "just 2 Mario characters".
