The Switch 2 looks like a fun game console. I probably won't get a Switch 2 this year.
Nintendo Switch 2 sets record, selling over 3.5 million units globally in first four days - News - Nintendo Official SiteIn the four days following its June 5 launch, the Nintendo Switch™ 2 game system sold more than 3.5 million units worldwide*, becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo game system ever.
Nintendo might increase the Switch 2 Price in the future, Trump could increase the tariffs for China to 55% from the current 30% which is already high so one more thing to consider on getting it later instead of now. Nintendo retains the $450 price because of the plan to quickly popularize the Switch 2. But that could change in the future. As for hardware Bugs so far I have zero issues. And the ones reported by people were minor issues and not wide spread stuff so far.I'm waiting to get one for myself for 2 reasons.
One, I want to see if there are enough games that will come out for the Switch 2 to warrant me spending the money on it. If there isn't going to be enough games for the console, then I don't see it being worth my money to buy the console if it's just going to just collect dust.
Second, while I'm waiting to see if they'll have enough games, I'm giving them enough time to fix any bugs or kinks out of their system before I get one for myself.
That's saying a lot for a console that can still get stick drift.Nintendo might increase the Switch 2 Price in the future, Trump could increase the tariffs for China to 55% from the current 30% which is already high so one more thing to consider on getting it later instead of now. “At this time, the top priority is to quickly popularize the Switch 2 hardware," explained Furukawa. "If the assumptions regarding tariffs change significantly, we would like to consider what price adjustments we should make and implement them after considering various factors."
"Absolutely, there's the potential for future price increases in the US for any video game product that is sourced from tariff-impacted countries," added Circana's Mat Piscatella. "The chaotic nature of the tariff rollout – and the rapid shifts in policy we've seen – do not provide a firm foundation for predicting scale and timing of potential price increases."
True. Unless the controller's stick is using the magnetic HAL. Though I never got the joycon drift problem with my Switch 1. Still working fine to this day.
The good thing about wired controller is you will never run out of controller juice lolMy Xbox one controller got it and I had to get one of those wired ones. That one has worked far better than the wireless one lol.
Sony shareholders are concerned with the Switch 2 selling good at launch. Well they are right to be concerned, Switch 2 has excellent 3rd party support with many third party games coming to switch 2 too other than Nintendo's first party games, while Sony continues to devalue the PS console by making their exclusives available for PC too not to mention Sony's first party lineup also getting weaker and weaker. Initially I was excited with the PS5 but after knowing all that I skipped the PS5 because of that. It's the first mainline Sony console I skipped. If this continues then Pc and Nintendo only for me lol even Front Mission 3 that was initially a Ps exclusive is now a Nintendo timed exclusive lol
