The worse kind of vampire.
The worse kind of vampire.
How was the gameplay overall? I heard it compared to The Witcher in terms of gameplayMC could be a goody goody vampire or a pure corrupt vampire lol In order to get the best possible ending mc must retain his humanity for about 60 percent and 40 percent vampire by not sucking human bloods or other vampire bloods and just make mc suck animal blood instead and you should be good lol Killing evil humans and vampires with the sword and vampire claws are fine though won't change the percentage.

sword fighting mechanics are better than the witcher imo witcher swordfight is too floaty at times. Dawnwalker directional blocks and attacks are like Link's fun directional swordfighting mechanics in zelda skyward sword and a bit like classic original prince of persia only with more precise timing. And groupfights with allies are not spammable like kingdom come's super easy group fight where you can just circle behind an enemy that's busy fighting your ally and hack that enemy to bits lolHow was the gameplay overall? Depends on how you do the combat, it rewards patience and positioning rather than button-mashing. Thus it can look a little chunky, because movement has to be precise including all the directional dodges, parry, block and strikes, combat takes a while to master especially on hardest difficulty and can be really hard. Trying to spam attacks leads to quick failure. The game requires patience, stamina management, and reading enemy attack directions. Carrying over habits from other action games—like buffering block inputs while attacking—makes the controls feel unresponsive and janky. Pressing block after your attack sequence finishes makes the response much crisper.Interesting. I've seen gameplay videos and it seems fun if not a little chunky in some aspects. Hopefully the sequel builds on what made the first game enjoyable for players and fixes issues that didn't.
