I thought this was a good view of the timeline. What other videos have you seen trying to detail the extensive Zelda line?

I liked the AVGN one, but it’s also pretty outdated as it’s from 2006. They’ve released more games since then, and also the timeline was officially released since then, but I thought it did a fun job talking about how even back then the timeline was convoluted.

Some of the games have more direct connections than others, but other times it does feel kind of haphazardly thrown together, which is why people are still debating the timeline years after it was officially released.

@Grungie I can' help but feel there is nothing to debate when Nintendo didn't really have a timeline in mind when they made the games, I'm sure they didn't realize they were creating three different timelines when doing OoT.

Hardcore fans of anything will debate over anything, even when word of god dictates something, fans will disagree. I do feel that because it’s kind of haphazardly thrown together, that’s why people debate over it. Some games are obviously tied together, others feel like they got thrown into a section of the timeline just cuz.

I'm pretty sure a few of them could just be on their own timelines to be honest.

Some wee obviously thrown in there to support a link (sorry) by the fans but the problem started when Nintendo felt they had to release an official timeline in Zelda Historia. Since then, the fans spun off in every direction :P

Nintendo should never have given in.

Sometimes I like to think that outside of specific entries that are clearly tied together, most of them are standalone.
That's exactly how I feel but some of the theories do make you think. I have no idea how some of the fans come up with some of the stuff :p
