I pay VERY close attention to the stories of the 3d Legend of Zelda titles as I do with many games that have many generations of the same hero (IE:Megaman). So any of us who has played Twilight Princess knows about the Heroes shade..he's the ghost of an uneasy swordsman who claims to have been the "Hero" in his past and his only regret was never passing down his knowledge of the sword. As the game continues you learn quite a bit about him and many (including myself have quickly jumped to speculation that this ghost is in fact the spirit of the lost "Hero of time". There's tons of supporting evidence to this....I'll just list a wiki for you all.

http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Hero's_Shade

Note that at the end of Majoras Mask, Link wanders into Lost Woods without a fairy....and in Ocarina of time one of the kokiris say "Anybody who wanders into the lost woods without a fairy will eventually become a Stalfos. Funny enough, at the end of Majoras Mask...he wanders into the lost woods...without a fairy. Well ever notice what the heroes shade looks like? Yeah...a Stalfos. Also look closely at his sword.

Read plenty more at the link i've provided. i think many Zelda fans will get a real nostalgic chill out of this one.

Discuss.

Wow, that's pretty interesting. Now it makes since why Nintendo started out with the legend of The Hero of Time before Wind Waker begins.

I actually figured that out on my own. I mean it took me two play throughs before I noticed that the sword looked like the guilded sword.

Also the sheild looks to be like the mirror shield, however the symbol is different and doesn't refelct.

Yeah I figured it out instantely after he said "I accepted my fate as the hero". As for the sword, it is said to be a replica of the "Great fairy's Sword". To me it looks like a faded Master Sword. The shield is a Stalfos' Shield. He also calls Link "My Child" after he teaches him everything and departs to the spirit world.

Well the phrase "My child," is used in different ways. It's what wise old men call young heros.

But he could turn into a wolf... you couldn't do that in Majora's Mask...
And DYL that means it isn't the Mirror shield.
Oh and Porkman umm... I don't think he meant My child literally...

have you played the game and listen to what he says "only those with the heroes "bloodline" may learn this secret technique".

Also, he turns into a wolf becuse he has passed and takes that form in the real world as link does in the twilight realm.

But no other Link could use all 7 techniques...

I'm making it harder?
Is that what you call giving good reason for the opposite of your statement? Making it harder... jeez you're the one who is making this a discussion.

Actually none of the Links besides TP Link learned any of the 7 techniques.

Though yeah at the end of MM it's never said what happened to Link. He could have gone into the forest and honed his skills to learn the 7 techniques though.

Also

I'm pretty sure that it's anybody who wanders into the lost woods without a fairy will become a skull kid. No actually it would be "Any Kokiri without a fairy who wanders into the lost woods would become a skull kid." Which cannot apply to Link because as stated he is not a Kokiri he is Hylian thus meaning he could not have been transformed at all.

Lastly I remember the Kokiri at the gate at the begining said, "Any Kokiri who leaves the forest will die." That would also come into play some where.

The kokiris know nothing of outsiders past the forest. Also yes, if you die in Lost Woods you become a Stalfos (not skull kid). Give supporting facts, I've posted a wiki which points out supporting evidence...Where's your evidence.

Technically wiki's aren't good source of information.

Also I disticly remember the Kokiri girl saying that when you go to give the medicine to the man, but he disapears I'll get a video...

Wait a minute what the hell? In my copy on the Collectors Addition it says, "Everybody will be become skull kids." I'm not joking what's going on here? I know for a fact that she said this. I found an inconsistancy.

I rest my case. lol, i'm sure you may just have misread.

No I didn't. I actually just checked my game. She said skull kid. Why do I always get the screwed up GC Zeldas?

*Shrugs* Maybe, but in my edition of WW, I never got light arrows. I just fought the boss with other weapons and they acutally died. Zelda pulled light arrows out Link a- ... out of no where.

My god, Zelda DID WHAT?! I don't wanna know what else she's shoved up there.

i decided to look up Skull Kids Navi info. Navi's Data on Skull Kid was "Is this what happens to kids who get lost in the forest?" and then something about helping it out. Stalfo's Info gives me nothing. just a tactic on how to kill it.

Oh yeah. It was Navi who told me that. Still though my copy still says skull kid instead of wolfo.
