"The Last of Us" going to be on the PS4? Really?

"The Last of Us" seems to be a good game and I've heard so. But, I'm a PS3 exclusive and I don't want to buy another console. So I want to know, will "The Last of Us" be coming to the PS4? I have the list of PS4 games but I didn't find "The Last of Us" there!

That's the only reference I've ever seen about The Last of Us on the PS4. It seems like a possibility, but that there are no confirmed plans or were no confirmed plans at the time of talking about it at least.
 
I plan on picking up a PS4 anyway. If they end up not making a PS4 version available, I'll just pick up the PS3 version. The PS4 is capable of playing PS3's games, yes? Also, what a huge mistake by Microsoft to not be able to play the 360's games. They will definitely feel the backlash from this in the next couple months (if not already) on forums like this and will most definitely feel it in their wallets come holiday 2013.
 
I doubt this will be ported to PS4, there be no point and the game was completely made for PS3. I doubt it look good on PS4.
 
I mean, it's not a bad thing, i guess, but i would prefer if they would simply made a sequel to it or something, other than just copying the game with a small number of new features.
 
Hmm.. I guess for those who haven't gotten around to it will eventually pick it up. I plan on playing it before the PS4 comes out. My big thing is that I don't like paying full price for games. I like to wait for them to drop in price.
 
Also, I heard that there's a little easter egg in the Last of Us for an Uncharted 4!! That's one game I'm dying to hear anything about! 
 
I believe the "Last of Us" along with GTA 5 will be some of the last games that will debut strictly on the older consoles. It's kind of a bummer, but it's also not too surprising. These games were probably started well before developer info for the new systems emerged. By that time it might have been too late to adapt or design the game for the new technology. 

Just a guess. 
 
Even if they port it later on, I really doubt it will be anytime soon. I wouldn't have high hopes about it if I were you. It depends on how well the game does on the market and bunch of other factors. Logically thinking, most PS4 buyers will move on from PS3 anyway, hence most people will already play the game on their PS3. I don't know if it would be worth to do all that work for a small audience.
 
I think Sonys logic on this one is the fact that how well received The Last Of Us has been so far. 10/10 almost everywhere you look. Add on top of that the fact you're going to be getting a whole new fanbase from the people who are going from the 360 to the PS4.
 
What difference does it make, if you already have a PS3? There are a few games coming out for both the current and next-gen consoles that I intend to buy only for current gen, including The Last of Us (eventually). I did the same thing the last time new consoles came out, actually.
 
I think there are plenty of exclusive PS4 games that you won't even be worrying about The Last Of Us. Yes, I am playing it right now an it is an amazing game though. You can always pick up a PS3 for $100 when it goes on sale after the PS4 comes out and play it then. I am pretty sure I read that the PS4 won't be backwards compatible so that would be your only chance to play it. Like I said you will have plenty of games to keep you busy with the PS4 I believe.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the game was remade specifically for the PS4 hardware, but that may be some years down the line.  We've seen it with previous PS2 titles being remade for PS3 in HD, such as ICO/Shadow of the Colossus, Sly Cooper Series and others.  In other news, I REALLY need to play this game!
 
Interferon - the PS4 is not backwards compatible... at all. That said this game has been in development since like 2010 or so. At this point it'd be kind of retarded to try forcing it to the PS4. Even if they did move it over it isn't likely to be a very good job. Remember ME3? Like that, but worse.
 
This is the only thread I see about the game so I'll post it here. The game is amazing so far. I am about a few hours in and having a great time with it. It is so immersive and I like how you aren't forced to play a certain way. I can go on about this game forever but if you have a PS3 and like these type of games, get it!
 
I doubt it will be released for the PS4 unless that was their plan all along. As far as I know, no one has said anything definitive about it. That said, I'm still eager to play it but I don't really feel like paying full price for it.
 
I have just started playing the game and it is amazing. Story telling and gameplay wise. I think this is probably the last game I'll play on my PS3 before I sell if for a good price and wait for the ps4 to come out. However, since the ps4 is backwards compatible, it can play the game, although it might not look as nice.

Sorry to break it to you but the PS4 won't be backwards compatible.

As for the topic, I can see Sony releasing in some time a "Best of PS3" games where they port the best games to PS4 at a reduced price, similar to the old "Platinum" series
