[OOC]
We can join up or something. It'd give me some connection with the story, at least. >_>
Here, I'll set you up:

Steven was lost, to say the least. His sudden change into the steampunk setting he'd found himself in would be disorienting for anyone; for his constantly distracted mind, it was near impossible to comprehend. Steven got to work scouting out the immediate area, and it turned out to be a literal labyrinth of gears, conveyor belts, and other assorted machinery. He was afraid to go anywhere as there were at least a dozen separate routes he could take and, for all he knew, any one of them could lead to certain death.
Eventually he settled upon one of the paths: It was one of the more treacherous ones, but it seemed to be the relatively easiest to backtrack through should the end be disappointing (or worse). Luckily his luck held out and he made it through the traps unscathed. The worst appeared to be over and Steven continued on until he met a troupe of quaint-looking robots patrolling the hallway. A quick scan told him that these were ROBs, usually reserved for facility guard duty or game console accessories. Steven assumed these to be guards. A special add-in message, one of many that had been put in by his former commander from experience, told him that ROB movement patterns were always predictable. This found to be the case and, after a few minutes of surveillance, Steven knew all he needed to avoid the guards through the next few halls.
Eventually, Steven's snooping led him past a purplish door that cast a soothing glow. This was the only spot of color Steven had seen since entering this strange area, and as such he was inclined to pay closer attention to it. He opened the door to take a look around and was astonished by what he saw: A vast world, completely alien compared to the factory and seemingly endless. Steven, noticing the dark purple theme, lack of a floor, assumed that this was outer space of a sorts and stepped through, expecting at any moment to feel the utter weightlessness of the space explorers he'd heard so much about as a kid.
Unfortunately, any less weight he felt was more or less balanced out by the sudden fall that proved that this was not, in fact, space. Steven hit the ground with a rather messy-sounding splat followed by an alien-ish sucking sound as he picked his limbs off the floor they were stuck to.

...and that was the noise that Ray heard.
[OOC]
If I'm allowed to, I'd like to introduce a third character... After which, I'd like Ray and that character (Don't worry, I've got it figured out but I need an a-ok first) to join up with someone if possible.... And nope, the noise isn't Shyril, its something else.
