Life is all about experiences. There's no way you're alive and you wouldn't be experiencing one thing or another and they all serve as a big lesson in one way or another.

What's that one thing or more that have happened to you in the past which you told yourself it's never going to happen again? Have you been able to hold on to that or see that happen again over and over again?

I once told myself that I will stop drinking beer. This happened the time I got drunk. Well, I got off a bottle of beer this morning.
 
I told myself that I would never allowed myself to be vulnerable again to allow someone stab me in the back again or betray me.
 
I once lived in a filthy apartment. I wasn't in a good mental head space and neither was my wife. We were in our early 20's and on our own. We were working physical minimum wage jobs and barely had enough energy to clean up after work so our apartment got absolutely disgusting. Now that we're older we make sure things do not get as bad as they once were. I vowed to never live in those conditions ever again.
