This should be the final boss of SM3DL

That would be interesting, to say the least. Although as the video shows, it'd be way too difficult to be particularly fun.

Note: The battle in the video would be easy if spin jumping worked like in Super Mario World.

Wait... am I right in saying that the spin jump has never been seen in a Mario platformer, in it's original style, since Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins?
Am I right in thinking that neither Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros Wii, OR Super Mario Galaxy 2 have either had the original spin jump?
The closest to these would be jumping and shaking in mid-air in SMG, SMG2 and NSMBWii, or doing that thing in Sunshine, where you jump, then quickly circle the analog stick mid-air.
Of course, Super Mario Advance 2 doesn't count, seeing is it's basically an enhanced port of Super Mario World.

URL tags you suck.

Rockman 2 NETA.
It was the first thing that popped into my head while watching the video.

Did Mario Land 2 let you spin jump off spiky enemies though? I don't recall that bit being in the game, although the spin jump did exist in some sense.

It all just seems to hectic, and near impossible to beat, at least without a headache and perhaps a few thousand deaths.
