I think it's a pretty disturbing insight into the problems with the gaming industry and journalism at the moment, especially the revelations that much of this social justice crap is driven by personal relationships with journalists and controversy baiting rather than any genuine belief in the subject, or the way that someone has used affairs with writers as a way to market their work.
Not to mention the rather shocking way it's been treated online by gaming sites. I mean, this was a topic so controversial that Reddit and 4chan banned people and deleted topics over it. Yeah, I suspect there's a fair bit of nepotism and collusion going on here, since it's not even remotely logical that so many sites should be shutting down discussions about just one individual and their past...
Add how the industry has reacted/can't see the glaringly obvious issues here, and their disdain for people online mentioning it, and I have to say, I'd be happy if gaming journalism just goes away or something. Cause it's corrrupt to the core.
