It may not be much, but what do you guys think so far?

For me, I think that the game will turn out better than Brawl and the original, but still not as good as Melee. I could be wrong, but I feel the game is less floaty than in Brawl. I mean there's some floating, but it was toned down.

My favorite character in the demo is definitely Mega Man. Though after looking at all the characters I hope that this is not all of them. I mean there's 36 characters, but it feels like it's missing a lot.

Oh and the items. I love a lot of the items. Like the fire bar sword and a few others I forget.

So those are my general thoughts on the demo. How about you guys? Who do you like using? What weapon do you like best?

I can't really compare it to all previous games. It's definitly a lot of fun and everything I hoped for.
I've been using everyone! I'm a big fan of Villager at the moment.
There are 11 hidden characters.

I'm maining Villager when I get the full game, but Mega Man is fun to play as. The demo has been amazing, I can't stop playing it.?

I enjoyed the demo for a bit, but the lack of at the least a second stage to play on kind of put me off extended play time on it. Can't wait for the game though, will be super fun!

I like it better than Melee imo with more balance and enough move lag to make it easy to shield grab Lv.9 CPUs in the middle of their attack. When throwing with Mega Man (and perhaps with other characters) I notice he becomes briefly invincible (Lloyd clearly explodes while Mega Man is throwing). I love the CPU difficulty which promotes grabbing tactics. The controls are a little touchy though like when falling faster or shorthopping.

I like Mega Man the best because of his reliable jump (unlike Mario and sometimes Pikachu), quick grabs, and Up/Down aerials that trump almost everything but air dodges and reflection specials. It's easy to spike too because he floats a little like Peach. The other characters besides Pikachu seem to have slower grabs which may be vital against counter users and shielders. (Villager is more of a heavy weight imo. He has Ike speed but has more ranged tactics and recovery). Mega Man also has a really strong Forward Smash which I like but has enough lag to make it a double edged sword.

There are some neat items like the Ore Club and Galaxian (among the Skyward Sword items) so I guess they're okay. The Pokeball has a lot of the same Pokes that were in Melee among the newer ones like Fennekin. But currently I play without items. ?

Oh yeah. The Ore Club was certainly one I was thinking of.?

Some first impressions:

I'm glad they improved Link. He's actually decent now. His new jump attack is awesome.

Mario and Pikachu are decent. But not a fan of F.L.U.D.D (or maybe I'm not just using it properly?). Pikachu's thunder attack isn't as good as it used to be.

I like Megaman  but I'm just finding him difficult to use, I need more practice.

Suprisingly Villager has become my favourite. He's unpredictable, and the whole tree planting and cutting move is great. I'm always  winning and getting a lot  of K.O's with him (with the tree attack). And his recovery is really good.

I can do smash attacks with the control circle gently, so I don't understand how some people have broken them.

Overall I think the characters are much more balanced this time round.

I'm finding the lvl 9 CPU's of these characters to be easy, I dunno they aren't that challenging. They were much more difficult in previous games

Not sure why, but Pikachu is getting the most love out of the rest from me.  Also Level 9 CPU AI, is leaps and bounds ahead of those idiots lvl 9 CPU in the other games.
