The former was announced in a Nintendo Direct today, and they gave more details about the latter too. Here's the video:

It's... been not too well received. Partly because quite a bit of these seems based on the Free to Play games you can buy on smartphones and the like. For instance:

You purchase the different sports seperately for $9.99 / £8.99 each, or you pay for a 'day pass' that costs $1.99 / £1.79 but gives you access to all sports for 24 hours.

And it only comes with Tennis and Bowling at launch, with Boxing, Baseball and Golf to be added later...

As for Wii Fit U, you can apparently download it for free between November 1st and January 31st, with you getting a free 'month' of play starting from when you download. If you then buy an activity meter seperately and sync it to the trial, that gives you the full game...

So what do you think of these titles and their strange 'new' pricing structures? Are you a fan? Think it'll work? Worried it'll set a dangerous precedent for the company?

My body is ready for Wii Fit U... Literally. Also let me get this right. If I download Wii Fit U for free and then buy the meter thing, I can have the game for only $19.99? That's amazing. That's what I'm going to do.

Wii Sports Club is just a rehash of Wii Sports, which isn't all that impressive.

You'll still need the Wii Balance Board to use Wii Fit U, and the balance board is not being sold seperately, so unless you already have one you will have to wait to buy the bundle.

I do have it from Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. I'm so freaking excited for this. More than I should be...

I fantastic idea except one thing....the price. I'd pay $5 for an individual sport but asking for $10 is a bit much because I dont think there is enough content to warrant a $10 price tag. It'll suck to buy all 5 games because in the end you would pay $50 for a game that was once free. Once again, not enough content to back that up.

I'd be more interested if I could get all the games from the original free game for a little less, or as a pack that included the new Sports games as well. I loved Archery just as much as bowling and tennis, so I'm kinda disappointed it's not included.

When this was announced on the Nintendo Direct I was like what the hell but then why I looked more into it it does kinda make sense why they brought it back in HD exclusive to the Wii U eShop and maybe a boxed version. Wii Sports was what made the Wii and revolutionised gaming forever with the use of movement so bringing back this classic sports game known as the very first Wii game may gain a wider audience in terms of family gatherings and party's. I will be buying this game on the eShop because the online looks pretty cool aswell :)
