TiVo cofounders Michael Ramsay and Jim Barton liberated TV viewers from the vagaries of network scheduling by allowing them to watch programs when they wanted, not when they happened to be on. Now the two have a new streaming-TV device—a $49 box called Qplay—whose main selling point seems to be that it recreates the passive viewing experience of channel-surfing.

$49 is a good price for the Qplay settop box. hopefully, it is not just about video, and games like Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Asphalt 8,etc  will be coming to the Qplay in the future.

I don't even know what TiVo is, all I know is that I've seen it once on the Simpsons. It seems like what we have over in Britain and I dont suppose you have it in America. We have Sky Boxes, basically just a big TV Provider.

Tivo is a Digital TV Video Recorder which records TV shows onto it, so you can watch it at another time.
