NIS America has detailed the various gameplay systems prospective players can anticipate from the upcoming Western release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II features a new area called the Märchen Garten, where a party from any playable character can be formed to explore a virtual space. Each sub-section of the areas within the Garten will have specific mission objectives, with bosses awaiting at crucial thresholds. Items and shard tokens are earned upon these bosses’ defeat; the latter are used for Mystic Cube analysis.
Players will usually have access to the Märchen Garten at any point in the main story, regardless of who’s presently separated.
Mystic Cubes exist solely within the orbal network and are analyzed by Mare in exchange for the aforementioned shard tokens. Sepith, items, accessories, rare equipment, and other notable finds can be obtained from this gacha-like component.
Some particular items found from Mystic Cube analysis enable the upgrading of S-Crafts, improving power and stun values, as well as reducing turn delay following craft usage. Then, enhancing a character’s craft can lead to their base stats upgrading, with all of this applying even outside the Garten.
One final feature in the Märchen Garten concerns the newly introduced character Mirabel Aalton of the Marduk Company. She acts as a shop vendor who can also store your CP and grant access to mini-game-style challenges. Plus, she lets players build their own customized soundtrack for Märchen Garten, which they obtain as collectibles.
Lastly, while exploring the real world, a new functionality lets you create a shard boundary around the party, revealing collectible shard tokens, items, recovery devices, and breakable objects.
Nisa posted cardgame in the second game:
Card Game: Seven Hearts
Seven Hearts is a four-player, competitive card game where clever use of the various effects on your Arts Cards is key to draining your opponents' life points and claiming victory.
These Arts Cards include attack cards of each basic elemental type (Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind) and special effect cards in each of the four elements as well.
There are also certain cards that can be aligned with the higher elements (Time, Space, and Mirage) for a total of eleven possible card types. The game proceeds with each player using one of the cards randomly dealt to them on their turn.
Each player's life points and the total cards remaining in their hand are used to calculate their ranking at the end of the game. In the event of a tie, the player whose turn comes around sooner in the turn order is declared the winner.
