From USA Today:

With less than a month until the Nov. 3 midterm elections, President Donald Trump is confronting a political reality that continues to worsen: His approval rating is underwater in most of the country and hovering near record lows nationally.

A new state-by-state tracker from Civiqs shows Trump with positive net approval ratings in just 11 states, all of which have backed him in the last three presidential elections. The findings add to a growing body of surveys showing Trump's support slipping as voters prepare to decide which party controls Congress.

According to the tracker, the 11 states that still back the president are Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming, all of which voted for Trump in the 2016, 2020 and 2024 presidential elections.

Wyoming remains Trump's strongest state, with a net approval rating of +16%. The remaining 10 states show positive ratings ranging from +2% to +10%.

Bad polls all around

In recent days, a string of polls has shown little improvement in the president's standing with voters.

The state-by-state numbers reflect a broader trend that has emerged in national surveys heading into the final stretch of the midterm campaign: Trump's approval ratings remain near the lowest levels of either of his two terms.

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll released Oct. 5 found that just 32% of Americans approve of Trump's job performance, matching the lowest rating of his political career. The survey also found Trump struggling with Hispanic voters, a key constituency that helped fuel his 2024 victory. Just 24% of Hispanic Americans approved of his performance, the lowest level recorded among the demographic during either of his presidencies.

The findings mark a sharp decline from Trump's recent electoral support among Hispanic voters. According to Pew Research Center, 48% backed Trump in the 2024 election, while 36% supported him in 2020.

The Reuters/Ipsos results are consistent with other recent polls. An AP-NORC survey released Oct. 1 found Trump's approval rating at 31%, the lowest level recorded across both of his terms in office. His previous low came during a series of AP-NORC surveys conducted in late 2017 during his first term.

The weakness isn't limited to individual surveys. Polling averages, which combine results from dozens of polls, show Trump consistently underwater with voters nationwide and offer little evidence that his standing is improving as Election Day nears.

What do polling averages show?

While individual polls vary, major polling averages continue to show Trump deeply underwater with voters, with disapproval ratings approaching or exceeding 60% nationally.

From Newsweek

Every Major Battleground Is Underwater

The battleground map remains difficult for Trump one month before election day.

His latest net ratings are:

  • Arizona: -18
  • Florida: -16
  • Georgia: -25
  • Michigan: -24
  • Nevada: -24
  • North Carolina: -15
  • Ohio: -17
  • Pennsylvania: -22
  • Wisconsin: -18
Several of these states were positive or evenly divided at the start of Trump's term. Florida has moved from +9 to -16, Ohio from +8 to -17, and Nevada from 0 to -24. North Carolina has fallen from 0 to -15.

The figures do not directly measure support for congressional candidates, but they indicate the political conditions in which Republicans are fighting during the final month of the campaign.

Where Approval Has Fallen the Most

Trump's net approval is lower in every state than it was on January 20, 2025.

The largest declines include:

  • Kentucky: +23 to -10, down 33 points
  • Wyoming: +47 to +18, down 29 points
  • Oklahoma: +31 to +4, down 27 points
  • Tennessee: +25 to -2, down 27 points
  • Texas: +6 to -21, down 27 points
  • Idaho: +34 to +8, down 26 points
  • Alaska: +9 to -6, down 25 points
  • Ohio: +8 to -17, down 25 points
  • Florida: +9 to -16, down 25 points
  • Montana: +25 to 0, down 25 points
  • Nevada: 0 to -24, down 24 points
Many of the sharpest declines have occurred in states that initially gave Trump comfortable positive ratings, rather than in Democratic strongholds where opposition was already entrenched.

I don't believe the polls, but traditionally, two term presidents lose their "luster" in the first 6 months of the second term. It happened to Obama, and Biden, but with the case of Biden, they fixed the poll so that the popularity seems "up there" until he's expedient. In the last 6 month of his term, he lost polling, and voters. It's why Kamala Harris was in the position she was in.

Ah yes, nothing screams losing luster than a sitting president to tell our enemy to go ahead and bomb two of our states ^^;

Oh, I know this, but I'm trying to point out that his "downward spiral" was a bit similar. Although, worse... but the idea is the same.

Okay, I know you're an administrator, and you're trying to goad me into an argument. I won't.

But, I will do this: I am not a fan of the current Democratic party. If you want high taxes, if you want high crime, if you want islam in your neighborhood... by all means... by all means, be my guest. I was from California. I started a business in California. Secretary of State wanted $1000 from me. A small business. That means the government in California is currently gouging small business ...right now. Ain't no way you stay in California and skate the current Democratic party. No. Anyone doing business in California - they are all suffering. The media is telling people in California to hate Trump.

They intentionally made the pain go hard in California, so they can justify their actions elsewhere, while they - the media in California can blame Trump for taxes. For the gas prices. No, sir. If you're living in California right now, and you drive around in California - and the media blames Trump for the gas prices - sorry, but they've been lying to you. It's the refineries. There is none at the moment.

Biden said in his campaign trail: "I'll ban fracking," not understanding, that by doing that... You remove the oil, the gas. In fact the first thing ...THE very first thing Joe Biden did... THE first thing he did was SHUT DOWN.... Xi Keystone. That was the lightswitch that hurt the economy - and all Trump has been trying to do is fix all this.

California is protesting in the streets about "Free Palestine" but don't realize that they're gonna wake up the sleeper cells IN California... the IRANIANS. Uh huh. The houthis. The uh... muslims... Yeah, they all exist in California. They're sleeper cells at the moment. Waiting for the call. That's part of what Trump said. Like I said... THEY'RE GOING TO. They're going to attack regardless of what Trump said.

New York just elected a fucking muslim! I would not wish to live in New York! I would not wish that on my worst enemy right now! I HAD a moderator on my own board. Today, I know him as a bleeding liberal. Guess what? Where does he live? New York. You know what he said before leaving my board? He hates Trump, and he thinks all the things the media said about him. You wanna ask me - do I hate him? No. I feel bad. I don't feel "Oh great! He gets to feel the pain of ours." No, bro. When your hand gets burnt, you switch sides.

When you feel struggle... When you feel sour? You move.

If you wanna live a liberal, go for it. Don't be crying to me about how expensive shit is. Don't be complaining about how much more you have to pay for taxes. You voted for that shit! You wanted it.

I voted to have my taxes cut, I voted to have less chaos, I voted to have these immigrants out of my streets so I am safe. But no, y'all liberals get mad EVERYTHING Trump does. Nothing he does is clap worthy. Everything is bad to you. If that's how you want to live your life, be my guest.

There was one thing that the Democrats clapped on, it was the "Trump accounts." Because... it does benefit anyone. They clapped awkwardly on Gavin Newsom saying that. Yeah. A DEMOCRAT.

I do not wish to put you in the New York camp at the moment, because those people are in serious pain. THOSE people are worse off than me, or maybe you, since you got a job, that pays handsomely well. Yet, I see you on these boards... acting like a victim.

This has leaned far too much into racism and islamophobia, especially with the final paragraph. As such, we are giving a verbal warning and are reminding you to be respectful.
What’s wrong with having Muslims in my neighborhood?
What is this question? Are we gonna have misunderstandings more frequently?

You know what. Simplify. Since you can't comprehend complex ideas.

THAT... is New York's MAYOR saying that. On what day? On what day? Oh, I dunno... I dunno... October 7, 2026. Hm.

Okay. Okay, support that tweet. Go for it.

There is subliminal messaging especially towards the end. But you won't catch it. Nobody on the liberal side is going to pick it a part. They'll cheer it on, but there is subliminal messaging.

I don’t care for Mamdani, but him being a Muslim has nothing to do with it.
Let me get this straight: You're telling me... Osama Bin Laden attacks United States, which you yourself... put your location as "United States." You're telling me... you are okay with a known terrorist... To come into United States soil... and attack us? Now, I'm not saying Mamdani is one. But the irony is not lost on me. This is what makes me frustrated with your comment.

What do you fucking mean it has nothing to do with it? It has EVERYTHING to do with it.

- Mamdani hates United States. That's his subliminal message in that tweet I just posted.

- Damocrats today... hates United States. That's not a joke. The Democratic Party as you know it is DEAD. Get it into your brain. That goes for everyone. The party is not the 80's Democrats, the party is not the 90's Democrats. The party is now full-bore super entrenched into the communist manifesto. They're not gonna admit this, but that's what they fucking are.

-Mamdani (and/or officials) has been exposed to be meeting leaders of Iran.
That's two stories, but there's a photo out now, that shows Mamdani SITTING with [Middle Eastern] leaders.
There's more. I saw an image of Mamdani sitting with a... what I thought was a Iranian leader, but I can't search for it now. Maybe I am misremembering the story... but there's a photo that shouldn't be public. Honestly.

- As soon as Mamdani was announced as Mayor, the people he "represents" went on the streets to do their muslim prayer. I'm not entirely sure what it's called. When you bend your knees to the floor, and bow... Yeah, I'm not sure what that's called.

- If you don't want Sharia Law in United States... You don't want muslims to be your elected official, because that's what they're trying to implement HERE. They literally did in Michigan. Not a joke.
Oh, still not convinced?

Here is the perfect quote: "Well, part of that is true. Detroit cops don’t go there because Dearborn is a separate city and has its own police. But Dearborn’s mayor is named Jack O’Reilly, and the city is no more under Sharia law than Roswell is under space alien law."
Brian Stone is on instagram all the time, I see his clips. He denounces this shit.

Many residents are complaining that they have to wake up at - at least 5, 6 am in the morning to hear their prayer call. There's videos of this. This is how protests erupted eventually into full two-sided arguments. Not a civil war, but close enough.

I'm sleepy, so bear with me. I'll be back with more tomorrow morning, but that's the jist of what I'm saying.

If you wanna disagree, go for it, but if I were you, I'd be weary. Hey, ya wanna disagree just to be a Trump hater? Go for it.

I searched all this in about 10 minutes, I don't need to use so much brainpower, because when 9/11 happened... I felt pain. I love this country. I'm not even a New York person. And I used multiple types of outlets. No bias here.

I miss being around Muslims. They have great coffee and tobacco. I also miss Turks. Doner and Turkish barbers are peak.
Okay, bro. It's cool. My issue is not with the regular joe who identifies as a muslim. You like them, cool, but right now... what we're seeing is that the islam ideology is here.

We have to call it like it is. BobbyPin just warned me over "racism and islamophobia," huh?

In no shape or form did I ever were racist. I'm saying this is what they are right now.

Khamenei, in fact... HE is on CAMERA, telling the rest of the world "DEATH to America!" If that's what you want to defend.. @MisterBobbyPin? I've seen you on many other boards, including my own. What is this?

EDIT: I'll post at least two videos here...

(That's CNN, your favorite station... liberals.)

Here is a protest... IN NEW YORK.

That's what you want to defend? THAT is who Mamdani is talking to when he makes tweets like the one I just posted.

On the flip coin... In Los Angeles, California...

Let me put it this way: I don't hate Iranians... In fact, I watch at least one Iranian... his name is Patrick Bet-David... Here ya GO.
