Apparently UK gamers where waiting for the unveiling of the last of the main 3 next gen consoles to decide which one they will want to make their own. Seems that the Xbox One was a total disappointment cause the Wii U sales skyrocketed a whooping 875%
According to MyNintendo News, it went from console sales rank #390 to #40 in Amazon UK. Was this the push Nintendo needed in the UK?
Will this spell doom to M$ Xbox branch in the UK?
oh then imagine the sales once the PS4 is revealed.
I think they might actually fall. Unless PS4 is 600$+.
yeah. the only reason they wouldn't fall is if PS4 has backwards compatibility with ALL 3 PlayStations. which is most unlikely
You DO know that the PS4 has already been revealed, right? And they HAVE already announced that it is not backwards compatible in its current form, but they are working on engineering a system for people to be able to play games they already own. This info came out a while back.
ANYWAYS. the major flux in sales is not just related to the Xbox One reveal, but to the fact that now we have seen all the big 3 consoles for next gen and the Wii U has looked better and better each time. The graphics on the other two were not as amazing detailed as some thought and the fact that those are all cutscenes (no gameplay was shown at all during the Xbox One reveal) indicates that those were the top end graphics they could produce. People were also hesitant with the Wii U's focus on multimedia and sharing, but these features were copied by both Microsoft and Sony. In the end, being out a year early really helps Nintendo because they have a larger library and a bunch of big titles now ready to reveal all throughout E3. Sure, the others will show their launch line ups, but Nintendo will have more experience, a virtual console, and no hidden fees or "always on" tricks.
