Unfortunately and unexpectedly
Recently someone I know used unfortunately instead of unexpectedly.
That client got really mad at them. Are these words really confusing?

Sounds like the client was an uptight, I wouldn't pay it much attention.
I see.
Well, some people wouldn't want to feel insulted at all and I can relate to that I suppose.

Unfortunately sounds more depressing than unexpectedly where you can use unexpectedly to talk about happy things like "I unexpectedly won a prize at a contest."
