So any USA members here vote yet? Do you expect the elections to go smoothly or will chaos erupt?

I just hope Iowa finally goes blue.

I think it's going to be a nightmare in Missouri. I would hope things will go smoothly but we'll see. I plan on voting on Tuesday of course.

From Fox News:

Trump's gamble on Ken Paxton backfires as Democrat pulls off historic Texas Senate upset

Democrats just made history in Texas.

President Donald Trump’s gamble on Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a strong ally of the president’s, backfired on him after Texas state Rep. James Talarico pulled off an upset to score Democrats their first Senate seat from the Lone Star State in nearly four decades.

The Fox News Decision Desk called the Texas Senate race in Talarico's favor shortly after 11 p.m. ET Tuesday night.

It comes after Trump opted to back Paxton over longtime incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, earlier this year, who Republicans in Washington, D.C., believed would be a better candidate during a midterm cycle in which political headwinds, spurred by economic stress and war, pushed back against the party in power.

Trump made near-weekly visits, and his deep-pocketed war chest, MAGA Inc., along with national Republicans, dumped hundreds of millions of dollars to support Paxton’s struggling campaign.

But it was not enough to overcome the insurgent Talarico, who styled himself a moderate dedicated to representing Texans and not Democratic interests, like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s, D-N.Y., in Washington.

It was a bitter campaign from start to finish, with Talarico painting Paxton as unfit to serve following several allegations of corruption, including his impeachment for alleged corruption by the Texas House. He was later acquitted by the Texas Senate.

"This Senate seat has been held by some of the finest Texans," Talarico said. "Ken Paxton should be nowhere near Lyndon Johnson's Senate seat. Ken Paxton should be nowhere near Sam Houston's Senate seat."

Paxton, Trump and national Republicans painted Talarico as a "communist" and a vegan in BBQ-loving Texas and zeroed in on his support for the transgender community while in the Texas Legislature, most notably his floor speech on God being "nonbinary."

"I'm not asking you to imagine what I do as your U.S. senator," Paxton told voters at a rally ahead of Election Day. "I'm asking you to look at my record and then compare it to another guy, James Talarico, the most radical Democrat ever to run statewide, bar none.

"And no matter how many commercials he runs lying about his record, James Talarico is a, simply put, a Democratic Socialist just like AOC. And just like the New York mayor, Mamdani."

Has to be getting close to a heart attack or stroke.
well not counting his temper and tantrum, his super high sodium eating habit alone could really accelerate this to happen to him especially as he gets older and older also he does have the confirmed coronary artery disease too.

Republicans must despise Trump currently cause Texas went and voted Democrat.
It's one of the worst Rep defeat in history because of Trump.

Trump also just lost Ohio, a deep red Trump state and others. The Dem just won the Senate and the House, and thus, Trump will have a much harder time doing his policies now. He will veto the Dem bills and send them back to Congress to be voted on again to clear 67-vote to become law. Though the chances are still quite hard for the vetoed bills to become law, some of them may actually succeed because now a significant number of Republican senators also openly dislike some of Trump's policies. In any case, this will put a strong check on Trump's power and policies.

Yep, multiple GOP states flipped. Iowa, North Carolina, Texas, Alaska?, there's four more I think.

I really don't know how he is still going to be honest.

Also, he has a extreme chance of being impeached finally.

Trump just actually said "Democrats did a good job" "many, many things" that he could work with Democrats on in Congress." lol rare remarks from him to actually concede this time around instead of going full on tantrum like the usual lol. I think he is getting "scared" because the people have spoken; the majority don't like many of his policies. His usual claim of majority national support has no basis now. That and probably also an early attempt to find common ground on less controversial, popular initiatives to ensure his administration can still claim legislative victories before his term ends.

President Donald Trump has dialled into Fox News to discuss his reaction to the results of the midterm rout against the Republicans, conceding the Democrats "did a good job".

He tells host Bret Baier that there was a "mood in the air" and expresses surprise at the outcome.

"We had tremendous rallies," Trump says. "I'm a little bit surprised".

Taking a conciliatory tone, he says that there were "many, many things" that he could work with Democrats on in Congress.

He rules out making any changes to his cabinet as a result of the midterms.

He's been slapped in the face and not sure what to do. He'll be back to his mad self before long.

I honestly did not expect Texas or Kansas to go Blue. I'm also surprised Trump isn't throwing a tantrum right now, hell must have frozen over lol.
Gas and beef prices went up. You don’t fuck with those in Texas.

There’s also a ton of people leaving California for Texas and moving to San Antonio and Austin. Those two are quickly merging together. I totally don’t know this from personal experience or anything lol.
