Using Debit card or Credit card?

Over here, most people are all for debit cards and even if they wanted to have credit cards, most banks wouldn't approve it for them because most wouldn't meet the requirements or even would decline paying for the accumulated debts.

Personally, I can afford having a credit card and I have one but I only pull it out for emergency cases. Every other card transactions I do is with my debit card.

Which one do you make use of?

I prefer debit cards most of the time because it is one of the ways that I get to manage my expenses.

Prefer neither. We pay with cash. Yes, there is “cash back” for using a credit card but to us, the more your card is out there, the more it can be hacked. Now, if it’s online, we prefer Paypal. But we are VERY picky as to who we buy from.

I learned early on to pay cash. It's too easy to go over a budget. We have no debt. No mortgage. Only bills we have are the monthly ones. Plus, if there’s a blackout, cards are useless along with other tech. If someone steals your purse or wallet, they can take all that’s in your account. If it’s cash, it’s just what’s there.

Wow, that's really been security conscious. This is something good that I'm now thinking about doing too. Maybe after our government's plan with changing our currency by next year, I will give it a try.

Debit card have been what I used for years. It served all its purpose for me and it's why I never considered having a credit card.

I don’t have a need for a credit card, so I just use debit. The only minor annoyance I have with not having a credit card is if I want to rent a car. Though some renters do take debit.
O.o to be honest, I do get this.
However if you ever want to apply for a loan... Like home loan and such... You will need a credit score.. So it's better to have a credit card -.-"

I just have one credit card and that's it. I use it just enough to keep my credit score up and I'm making sure I pay it off every month. I mostly use my debut card though.

There's other ways to have a credit score without a credit card. That's just one of the easier things to get.
Oh ok
Well, I don't know much about other ways apart from taking a loan... Which is.. Not a good idea as you will end up having a higher interest rate, for the very first time.
