GTAIV probably wasn't the best, but saying it's the worst game you've ever played shows you're just jealous, and obviously bias towards your favoured games.

Jack Black did a good job hosting. I like it when he was using that flame thrower while promoting a game that he will be in.
 
GTA 4 shouldn't have won. There were plenty of other titles that beat it out. Respectively... about 50 titles... at least...
 
GTA is just popular because it's one of the first sandbox games that pushed the envelope, and the game's premise hasn't really changed since GTA3 was released on the PS2. same game, same forumla, just a new character, and some added things to make it more violent for those who enjoy that.

i really can't say what my game of the year would've been, but i own GTA4, got about 60% complete, and it got BORING by about 13% of the game. drive, drive, and drive somemore, while two guys are cussing and doing drugs ... big whoop!
