So @テクニカル諏訪子 , I take it you will be visiting Sega's booth and checking out Touhou Genso Wanderer: Lotus Labyrinth when you are attending the TGS 2018 next week?

Read some intel on the status of the Tales series from the new Producer, from gematsu:
  • “We are planning Tales of series remasters and remakes based on [fan] requests.”
  • “[Tomizawa] will be working on [Tales of series] console games as the new producer, including the new title announced at Tales of Festival 2018.”
  • “We’re putting our focus first into putting out a game on console, which we haven’t done in a while.”
  • Tales of Crestoria has no direct connection to [other Tales of titles]. It will have a completely new story that is a clear distinction from an ‘all-stars game’ (Editor’s Note: Tales of the Rays, etc.) and serve as an entry point to the series.”
  • “(In regards to Tomizawa’s new development structure) It’s not something I can talk about. But it is something I have been involved in behind the scenes since the beginning.”
  • “Development is being handled by Bandai Namco Studio, with reliable staff members who built up the series.”

Honestly Tales games have not aged well at all, to the point remasters don't help them much.

Glad to hear the Crestoria game is just a side project and they have another console in the works.

Yeah they need new graphics and game engines.

I already planned to look around carefully, Japanese events are always ultra crowded, but I expect Tokyo Game Show to be especially crowded, given not only loads of domestic people visit, but loads of overseas people too.

Anything is possible, though it may take years, sort of like the 5th game was sort of a prequel.
