Virtual Boy Wario Land for 3DS?

Okay, as I have said numerous times, this was my favorite of all the Wario titles and I have played all but Wario Land 4.

But it had me thinking... with the 3D technology on the 3DS and the way the game played, it wouldn't be very hard for Nintendo to remake the game in full color or even just port it over.

A lot of the 3D gimmicks that the game utilized are commonly used in other games such as Mutant Mudds where you jump from the foreground to the background.

So, do you think they will remake it or will they just let an otherwise arguably great game that most never played just die and fade away?

I sure hope they make a remake. I never got around to playing the Wario games.

You can get 2 or 3 of em off the eShop for 3DS for fairly cheap. If I recall the first one is $4 and the second is $5

Awesome! Everyone around me says they are awesome.

The Wario games are my favorite Nintendo series for Mario-style platformers. Meaning as far as jumping on enemies' heads and such style games go. They play somewhat like Six Golden Coins for Game Boy for the first couple of games but as each new version comes out he gains more new ways of attacking and exploring which usually carry over to the next games. He can jump on enemies, pick them up and throw them, bull rush them, as well as obtain different hats that change him like Kid Chameleon for Sega Genesis.

Well I gave them a try and still don't like them. Sure they are one of the best at cloning Mario's platforming style, but this is a game made from the SAME company, so is not a big shocker. Still, didn't quite enjoy the games as they still feel kinda generic to me. But who knows, maybe they will grow into me later......when my son makes me play them in his stead to pass some harder stages....

Try the Wario World game for Game Cube... it is like Super Paper Mario meets Mario 64 without the RPG elements and completely different than the other series. What I love about Wario games is the humor where Mario games are generally more serious with a bit of humor thrown in, there is almost never any seriousness to a Wario game. You play as a bad guy robbing other people and doing evil deeds that often require him to be caught on fire or explode or some other element leaving him charred black and smoking, and even when you win a stage often times something ill-fated happens.

I'm VERY glad that the Wii can play Gamecube games.

Not all Wiis can. The earlier models can, but like the PS3 they removed that feature later on.

Quoted from Wikipedia:

"Redesigned "Family Edition" Wiis and the Canada version of the Wii "Wii Mini" are not backwards compatible."

When did they stop making the port?
