Vita price drop

Sony has announced a price drop for their handheld, Vita. However this price drop so far is for Japan only. No word yet for other region price drops.

Both the WiFi and the 3G versions are priced at ¥19,980 (US$214) starting February 28.

They really should have dropped the price sooner, but who cares if it is Japan only? The console is region free.

I've been waiting for a good deal, but I may wait just a little bit longer. If I see it for $200 with a game or PSN+ then I'm jumping right on it.

Even if it's not region locked, it still costs a lot for imports.

Importing wouldn't be too expensive considering the size and weight of it. I'd expect somewhere between $10-30 depending on how much extra protection/tracking/etc you put on it.

It actually depends on you local customs policies. Here I would have to pay a tax, 15% of its value plus other fees.
