Or at least, after Majora's Mask? Personally, I wish the Lens of Truth had returned in future Zelda games, because it had a lot of potential for clever dungeons and bosses, as well as standard secrets. I also wish the other types of boots had returned. Why? Because while both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess had the iron boots, the Hover Boots never seemed to get any use after Ocarina of Time, and it seems weird that having a selection of three types of footwear for Link went astray in later games while we still got things like different tunic choices.
Any items from this game that you think should have returned?
^Basically lets you see secret stuff. Sometimes lets you see through things, sometimes see secret treasure chests.
I think the Lens of Truth definitely would've been a cool item to have in later games. What about playing different songs? I haven't played any of the newer 3D games, but I haven't seen this in any newer 2D games.
