What makes one an attention seeker?

We relate with a lot of people on a daily basis. These people have different attributes in them as well. What would you say is a sign for an attention seeker?
 
I think that it's self explanatory. They will always want you or everything to be about them and on their terms.
 
I feel someone who buy Twitter followers and other social network followers, and pay people to attend their events and parties are attention seekers.

I would like those kind of attention seekers that's going to pay me $1000 to attend their events for them.

I know someone who does certain things to often gain attention. This isn't my husband but it's someone we know. They have even admitted to my hubby that they do certain things just to gain attention or sympathy.

The level of attention seeking that people do online is always out of this world. Some even chase clout with sensitive information about themselves and it's not funny.

I think some of the online attention seekers eventually use their attention to ask followers to buy their products like custom T-shirt with their name on it, or a smartphone case with their name on it.

If they are selling something, it's something good. But begging isn't cool at all when they have two hands and two legs to work.

You are absolutely right! They first of all gain the attention needed before going on to ask their followers to do this.

One thing that I know for sure about myself is that I don't follow anyone blindly. If you're not real enough, I'm not running after you online.

It's even better that way for your husband. At least he wouldn't be doubting their intentions anyone and not allow them play on his conscience.
