What do you think Nintendo will come out with next? I've always preferred Nintendo as the console, controllers, games tend to be more user-friendly. I would hope they continue to listen to their customers & keep making it that way. They need to find their own groove in the gaming world. People don't want the same ol' system that others have to offer.
So, what do you think they'll do next? Come out with a different game? Another controller perhaps?

Whatever it is, it will have retro game support, a neat usage gimmick to keep things fresh, and a bunch of 1st party exclusives upon release.

According to Digital Foundry, Switch Pro was indeed real however Nintendo dropped it and shifted to a Switch Successor console instead:

According to the Digital Foundry gang, Nintendo was indeed working on a Switch Pro as a mid-gen Switch update. This information comes from numerous unnamed developers Digital Foundry was speaking with. As you might have guessed, all plans for the Switch Pro have been called off now, and it appears efforts have instead shifted to a Switch successor.

Digital Foundry also says to not expect the Switch successor in 2023. Finally, there’s a bit of speculation on Digital Foundry’s part, as they speculate that Nintendo is likely quite worried about the transition from Switch to its successor. Considering how Nintendo’s last few consoles have done, you can certainly see why they’d have concern. There have been huge hits like Wii and Switch, as well as failures like the Wii U.

Pretty sure we should hear something on that in 2023.

Well, Nintendo generally try and innovate and try something new. It will be interesting to see what they do. I do think they'll look at vr again soon...

Nintendo was the first one to come out with the wireless controllers before Microsoft and Sony.

Their console, the Switch, can be picked up and taken with you if you leave your house (and still playable while you're out and about). You can't really do that with Microsoft or Sony's stuff. But Nintendo has been the front runner on handhelds anyway. Sony's handhelds hasn't been as popular as Nintendo's stuff (in my opinion) and Microsoft never even got into the handheld market.

They're great at what they do and I think they've realised they need to be different to the competitor to survive and that's great.

Because Microsoft was smart enough to not step into a highly ruled market.

What do you mean about Nintendo being the first one with a wireless controller?

I agree that they nailed it with the Switch and anything beyond an improved Switch 2 would be a very strange move, but this is Nintendo and we just never know.

I believe it was actuall Atari who first did it.

Wireless controllers definitely pre date Nintendo, I've got a few consoles from the early 80s that have wireless controllers though they're not great.

If the SMB movie does well, probably more movies down the line. That and a successor to the Switch. The current system is way too underpowered.

True, but being conservative with their money and making it more affordable is always good. So then they can make more units and not tend to sell it at a loss.

I genuinely can't see how the movie can flop. I think nintendo are way to protective of Mario that they'd allow a mediocre movie to be released these days. Obviously times have changed since the last mario bros film!
