I have heard in many places about the upcoming 3DS firmware update that the update will be released on November 4th, 2011. I have also heard that the update will be released in late November. I don't know if the 3DS update is on November 4th or if it is just for Europe, but I thought it was maybe worldwide. Is the 3DS firmware update on November 4th or is it late November for America?

Also, I read that there was some misunderstanding about the update in Europe.
Apparently, November 4th is when Europe will find out WHEN the update is, NOT that the update will be available in Europe.
It's rumoured to be around November 22nd.

haha... A scheduled date to find out about something... that's certainly different.
 
Not really... for example:
For example, "Mario Kart 7's release date will be revealed on September 12th in Japan" -- see?
Also, "We are able to announce that Nintendo has announced that, on September 29th (2010), they will announce the release date of the 3DS in Japan" is a perfect example.
 
Your lucky TUK that you get the 3D video recording, new StreetPass stuff, and maybe Swapnote earlier than me! Im so jealous!

How can we be "LUCKY" if we don't KNOW when it is?

Also Swapnote isn't coming in the update, it's a free app on the eShop, being released in December

He MAY be an adult, but he is not my parent, teacher, or a moderator. I don't have to listen to him if he just wants to say mean things sometimes. Ok, now lets get back on topic before this gets locked. Isn's late November in between November 21st and November 30th?

I already said the update is not on November 4th, but you completely ignored us. You're told not to mention that other thing, 5000 times, yet you continued to constantly mention it.
I really hope you understand for once, how pathetic you sound when you get so freaking excited over a pathetic piece of crap, over a full game like Super Mario 3D Land, or Mario Kart 7. Expecting EVERY SINGLE event/update/conference to be about ... that thing.

^You know something, I'm going to be brutally honest here. I'm not supposed to condone these types of posts, but I can't help but find myself agreeing to that one. You really need to listen to what other people are saying more, Yoshian. In other words, in reply to the topic question, we don't know.
