I really want a flip camera which is like $30 to $50. I wish i had a camera in my phone though, than I wouldn't need one. Oh well, once I get enough money I will consider purchasing the video camcorder.
I think I'd like a Flip camera the best, since they're a good size and a good price, and they make decent videos, too! I do have a new (photo) camera, though, than can shoot 720p (I think?) videos, so I don't need a dedicated video camera just yet.
I recently bought the Kodak Zi8 which can shoot in 1080P video and take 5 Megapixel pictures. I love it since it only cost me less then 100 dollars on Amazon. But, the only problem is I need to use my own SD card instead of using internal memory card like the Flip.
However, I can use an SD memory card up to 32GBs in space.
I also like that it uses an internal battery which is also removable, so if I wanted to, I can buy multiple batteries are have them precharged, so I don't have to worry about running out of battery power.
There is also a port for me to plug in an external stereo microphone, if I need a higher quality microphone then the internal mono mic on the ZI8.
The ZI8 controls, and settings are very easy to use. The viewfinder screen is 2.5 inches and the color, clearness and brightness of the screen is great.
I can also use the bundled Audio and video cable or HDMI cable to preview my video on my HDTV.
The built-in USB plug like the Flip USB plug is nice since I can just plug it into my computers lower USB ports or my USB plug to transfer my video. I can also take out the SD card, and use my PC's SD card reader to copy the video and photo files I taken with the ZI8 on to my computer.
The Camera's glossy black color looks good. I also find the ZI8 more comfortable to hold for long periods of time vs holding a digital camera or those heavy DSLR cameras since the ZI8 is lighter and fits my hand better.
