While you grind

It really depends on the game for me and if I've already beat it. Like for Fallout 3 the first time through I only listened to the game but everytime after I'd blast some AC / DC. But seriously for the music I listen to, as long as it sounds good I'll listen to it. Whether it be classic or rock n roll.
 
I love grinding in handheld games like Fire Emblem and Persona. Most of the time I'll grind while I'm making dinner or before I go to sleep. It's kind of funny because I dislike grinding a ton on computer games and on consoles but I don't mind at all on handhelds because it usually feels more natural to me. There might be something psychological about grinding and being able to roll around in bed or tend to something else and pick up where I left off at any time. 
 
I'm taking this a little bit back to around a decade ago when Runescape was in full flow, at least for me and my friends at the time. That game has some grind, and personally my favorite thing to do was to start a music playlist and just start adding songs, looking for new songs and just getting lost. It's enjoyable enough to get you through hours of mindless grind, and gives enough time to those 1 or 2 clicks needed every 3-5 minutes or so. 

Genuinely, music is not too important to me and most of my favorite songs were discovered during those years just because I had the time to research new stuff. 

If that doesn't float your boat, then of course you can crack out that novel that you've been meaning to read and start on it. Managed to work my way through most of the DragonLance Chronicles in that time period as well. Ah how I miss free time. 
 
Since I've had to do this with Tales of Xillia (and had to do it with Tales of Graces F), I usually just listen to music. I actually found a good radio station as a result of doing this.

I've also thought of combining this with exercise so I "level up" too.
 
I usually get online on facebook or play another game while I am waiting for the other game to grind for me. 
Or usually I will get on the internet and post on forums! :)
