For me, while I think both are good characters, I never really got the huge fandom Luigi has, and I think Mario is a much better hero in general.
 
I was going to make this. But I wasn't sure if it was already made. Or maybe I'm just confused from the "other site"

Mario for me.
 
Mario is cool, but I like Luigi better. Execpt in that live action Mario movie, but let's not get into that.
 
Mario. He's the one who has proven himself time and time again.
 
both,but i like playing as luigi more because he jumps higher and in super mario world if your playing as luigi yoshi spits stuff out instead of swallowing it
 
No preference...any game with either character will turn out awesome. Luigi has the comic relief, Mario is the brave hero. A nice balance.

Agreed 100%. Both characters are great, Mario being the hero and Luigi managing to somehow provide comic relief. It's a winning combination.

It's alright to have a favorite. I'm just saying I like both characters and love when they both appear in games together, which need to be done more often. What I mean is in the bigger games, Luigi should make more appearances and have some role in the story. I always loved what Nintendo did in Paper Mario:the thousand Year Door, with Luigi on his own quest while you were on your own.

I agree with that. Yoshi's another vital character in the Mario series, and probably should have appeared in Mario 64 and the first Mario Galaxy game.
 
i would like them the same,if it werent for mario &luigi series,which makes me like luigi more
 
What probably made me like Luigi is that my sisters always got to be 1st player whenever we played Super Mario World, so I kinda got stuck with him.

Heh, basically the complete opposite for me. I was always first player, so I always got to be Mazza. Of course, I like Mario not only for that reason, but also because he's so darn adorable. *shifty eyes*

Plus he's just one of those almost unlikely heroes. I mean, how many protagonists wear overalls nowadays? Let alone have an amazing moustache.
