For most games, it's not been Bowser (in order the bad guys have been Bowser, the Shadow Queen and Count Bleck and Dimentio). But who do you think will be the bad guy in Paper Mario 3DS?

Will it be a new villain we've never seen before?

Or Bowser for some reason, like in the Nintendo 64 game?

What do you think?
 
New Villain with Bowser somewhere. Hopefully stuff like in Paper Mario TTYD.
 
I Think It will be mario himself, for these reasons:
Final Bosses: PM64 = Bowser, PMTTYD = Peach, SPM = Luigi, so the final boss in this game must be Mario
 
YEAH I BET IT IS A NEW VILLIAN so far my favirote paper mario villian is Shadow Queen from paper mario and the thousand year door for nintendo gamecube

I sure hope it's a new villain! I like Bowser being a semi-bad guy/ good guy.

Have to have permission from Square Enix first, which is doubtful.

I like that whole "Hero Turned Evil" theory swordmaster proposed. Again, doubtful, but still plausible.

You're not going to believe this, but I thought of this quote and this image today after yesterday's "Great. Just great. Now I look like the king of GUYS WHO TALK TO POSTERS!" quote in-game.

This is the kind of thing I would like: Bowser being involved, trying to catch up to Mario and whatever he is really facing, and failing with humorous results every time. But the main enemy must be decent too, like the X-Nauts where.
 
Hopefully the villain system will work out like in super star saga. Bowser is definitely involved. The tape over toad town has bowser's face all over it.

What I mean about it being like super star saga is that I hope bowser will be the main villain for the first hour or so, then a whole heap of villains will be introduced. There was fawful, cacletta (spelling?), popple, and some pretty dangerous misunderstood good guys. It would make one heck of a game.
 
I would actually say Bowser. Or like the other guy above, some Mario clone. Like, Cosmic Mario gets ahold of the Star Wand. (No, that is not a typo.)

You do know Bowser was only a villain in Superstar Saga for all of about ten minutes, right? He was never the main one in any Mario and Luigi game, even initially.
 
I agree that a COMPLETELY new villian (talking about Mario & Luigi Partners in Time for example) should be Elder Princess Shroob. Just saying if Nintendo would allow this to happen, I would be very excited if Elder Princess Shroob was in a Paper Mario game. It would be EPIC!! Nintendo, please add Elder Princess Shroob in there. PLEASE!!!!

I don't like Elder princess shroob. I do like regular princess shroob though

I would love if they put shroobs in a Super Mario Galaxy game.
They could have their own galaxy, and EPS and princess shroob could be the bosses
 
Well I do hope Nintendo makes a Super Mario Galaxy game for Wii U. Because I would like your idea to be able to put shroobs in a Super Mario Galaxy game.

But I don't know what other bosses could be in the game. I've ran out of ideas. What bosses would you prefer to be in Paper Mario 3DS?

Here are some species I'd like to be made into a new boss (only if they're not partners)

Hammer Bro (like a really big hammer bro with hammer, fire, boomerang, and ice attacks)
Boo
Clubba (I love the clubba bosses, bring on a new one!)
Shy Guy
Buzzy Beetle
Toad
 
I would like Bowser as the side villain, and then somebody else as the other villain. For this new Paper Mario, I have a feeling Bowser will be the "assumed villain" early on, but the story will reveal otherwise. That's just a pure gut feeling though, I don't have any proof of this.

I'm not sure if I want another "ultimate evil" type villain like the Shadow Queen and Count Bleck again. Maybe something along the lines of... an experiment gone wrong or something. Or something that was once good turns bad. A tricky kind of plot.

As for who's behind it all, probably just some kind of new head leader. I know the topic got bumped, but heck, just contributing to conversation.
